Early Fee Registration

Early Fee Registration

With just four weeks of early fee registration to go delegates from 50 countries have already committed to attend the 7th International Orthodontic Congress being held in Sydney from February 6 – 9, 2010.

With early fee registrations closing on October 2, and just 159 days to go until the Congress kicks off at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre international delegates will need to start applying for their visas and booking flights and accommodation to ensure their stay in Australia goes without a hitch.

Remember as the Northern Hemisphere heads into the bleakness of winter, down here we will be moving into a beautiful sunny Australian summer boasting the best beaches in the world with some of the top holiday destinations only a short flight from Sydney.

The Sydney International Orthodontic Congress Committee (SIOCC) intends to make the 7th International Orthodontic Congress a highly successful networking, high technology and informative adventure for all our visitors and we welcome your participation.

The SIOCC received 650 abstracts and they have been evaluated and confirmations were sent out last week.

This year the electronic format posters also promise to be the most innovative ever presented and coupled with the state-of-the-art, largest and most technologically advanced facility in Australia, the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour, this Congress will truly be one to remember.

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, which has been purpose built just for events such as this, is unique because of its ideal location within the Darling Harbour convention area. It is only five minutes from Sydney's city centre and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and a range of accommodation and entertainment facilities.

Sponsorship and Exhibition

The support from industry has been excellent and organisers have experienced a recent rush on exhibition booths which leads them to believe the exhibition space will be sold out. Sponsorship support has also been extremely strong although there are still some opportunities available for those Northern Hemisphere companies still finalising their 2009/2010 marketing and promotions budgets.

Scientific Program

The success of any congress is principally based upon the calibre of the Scientific Programme. The Scientific Programme will be challenging as delegates will have difficult choices to make at any time on any day such is the quality and variety of the lectures.

The World Village Day Programme will highlight this aspect and similarly it will be difficult to choose between the two outstanding Pre-Congress Courses - The TAD’s/Micro-Implants in Orthodontics and “A Clinicians Delight” – The Aesthetics and Performance of Orthodontic Appliances.
