There is absolutely no doubt the 7th International Orthodontic Congress was a resounding success in terms of participation, scientific program, quality of speakers, abstracts, presentations and social events.

I would like to thank each of the presenters who gave of their time and expertise to prepare lecture and poster presentations on such a wide variety of topics.

As delegates, we all had the enviable opportunity to gain the very latest information in orthodontics from 300 world-class speakers. However, due to the depth of the program and the number of concurrent sessions, it was impossible to attend every lecture you may have wanted to see.  For this reason we have also arranged for the doctors’ scientific programme to be webcast.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the invaluable contribution of all the sponsors and exhibitors who supported the Congress, their generosity was greatly appreciated.  I would also like to extend special thanks to ICMS and the various organising committees for their wonderful enthusiasm and dedication from the start.

In total we had 4,145 delegates, including the 856 allied dental personnel, who registered for the Congress from 87 different countries, and I hope each of you enjoyed the 7th IOC and your time in Sydney.

We all look forward with great anticipation to September 2015 and the 8th International Orthodontic Congress in London.  I wish Chairman Dr Jon Sandler and his team the very best.
