Invitation to TIF Dinner, August 29, 2012

Dear Colleague and Participant of the ISPRS Congress Melbourne,

On the behalf of The ISPRS Foundation (TIF) we are very pleased to invite you to the ISPRS Foundation Dinner, on

August 29, 2012, 07.00 pm – 11.00 p.m.

The exact venue, which will be close to the ISPRS Congress Centre and is dependent on the number of people, will be made public very soon. In the meantime, you can already register for the dinner via the ISPRS congress organization. If you register by email, please put us on cc.

This very Special Social Event of the ISPRS Melbourne Congress will in particular help young scientists in photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences to apply for TIF grants in near future. Just a few figures about TIF in general: it was founded during the ISPRS Istanbul Congress in 2004 and has provided grants to more than 50 individuals especially from developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America to attend workshops and conferences and to improve their skills in spatial information sciences. Furthermore TIF is sponsoring major ISPRS awards, the Computer Aided Teaching Contest (CATCON) and provides grants for science initiatives.

TIF can only fulfil its role as a foundation if donations flow continuously. Besides industry and public/private institutions as our mains sponsors, we need you as an individual donor.
