The Centre for Engineering Leadership and Management together with Young Engineers Australia will present the 2012 Engineering Leadership Conference (ELC 2012) from 30 May to 2 June 2012 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
With the extraordinary insights gained from ELC 2010 still fresh in our memory, it’s time to diarise the next conference which is now only 12 short months away.
ELC2012 – A FULL PROGRAM
ELC 2012 will include workshops and technical tours on the first day while paper presentations, poster sessions and workshops will fill the two formal session days, finishing with a social tour on Saturday – the final day.
The spirit of the 2010 conference and its outcomes have paved a path to this coming conference theme:
Passing the Baton – Engineering Australia's Future
As emerging leaders learn and develop their skills based on the experience of others, the growth of our industry relies more and more on substantial and robust business events such as the Engineering Leadership Conference.
We are currently calling for abstracts for the conference on the following sub themes:
Pathways to Leadership. Exploring leadership training programs and career pathways which focus on technical leadership, project management or business leadership.
Transitions in Leadership. Covering career gateways and their implications. Exploring transitions between different careers or transitions into and out of leadership positions, as well as acknowledging the difference in leadership experiences between businesses.
Engineering Leadership in Industry. Encompassing engineering leadership and management in industry including groupings such as mining, energy, construction, manufacturing, defence and consulting. We also encourage abstract submissions focussing on transformative, regulatory and production processes.
Engineering a Better Society. Exploring engineering leadership and management in environmental and human endeavours, at both a global and regional level.
Please refer to the website for abstract submission guidelines.
Sponsorship of ELC 2012 represents substantial opportunities for organisations to promote their capabilities to both young engineers and to senior members of the profession. A range of sponsorship packages has been developed to accommodate different needs. Early commitment to these packages offers additional promotion opportunities.
The conference organising committee welcomes back the Defence Materiel Organisation and engteam.com.au who were sponsors of ELC 2010. These organisations have taken up gold and silver sponsorships respectively for ELC 2012.
The return of these two organisations as sponsors and their ongoing support clearly demonstrates the positive benefits which sponsorshi of the Engineering Leadership Conference offers.
We also welcome new silver sponsors in ASC Pty Ltd and Parsons Brinckerhoff, as well as Australian Rail Track Corporation as a supporter, for ELC 2012.
